I love how you write in-character as citizens of Khorvaire. This is one really interesting look at Eberron’s bloodsucking undead, and I’m interested in seeing others… especially Count Baloo the math teacher. I love creepy but nice Seeker undead.
The fact that the Night Hunter vampire is tied to Thelanis rather than Mabar is interesting. What’s the story behind that?
Great character. Only, in my Eberron, I would have her defeating the druids and staying in power in Riverwood. She is way more interesting in a position of power.
The Greensinger’s heroic aspect is very cool. They uncovered her abuse of an ancient pact, and maybe spread the truth around populace in Fairhaven (why “an old man” know so much?).
This is remarkably similar to a character concept I imported into Eberron, except replace elf with dhampir, Aundair with Karrnath, owls with ravens, and it was a whole family with a mixed history of heroism and villainy rather than an individual. But the vampirism came from a pact with what was effectively a powerful dryad in a forest with a growing Mabaran manifest zone, and part of the deal was for this family to be stewards of that area to prevent the corruption growing further.
Anyway, point is you’re speaking my language with this.
Hi Kieth. This is great. I’ve been thinking about how to do a fey vampire after coming across a Baobhan sith in a pathfinder AP. Do you have any thoughts or concepts for her patron? Do you think other fey would make pacts that creat fey vampires or is she unique?
I love this take on a vampire story, it feels very folkloric.
What is Eudokia’s connection to Olarune that causes its light to harm her? Is the fey that she made a pact with somehow tied to Lamannia, rather than Thelanis? Alternately, it’s interesting that Eudokia is weakest when lycanthropes of Olarune’s Blessing are the strongest… could the story of Riverwood’s spirit somehow be anathema to lycanthropy?
This is fantastic. Thank you, Keith. I am always intrigued by hooks with multiple familiars.
This is amazing Keith, thank you very much.
Spooky!
